Detroit Employment Solutions Corporation (DESC) is a funder of the year-long workforce development program, expanding community access to career preparation, credential attainment, and pathways to living-wage employment.

WIOA Certification Pathways
WIOA-aligned certification pathways include Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), CPR and First Aid, OSHA safety training, and healthcare administration credentials. Certification offerings, eligibility, and funding are confirmed for each cohort.

Allied Health Programs Designed for Access

Transition Academies LLC provides community-based workforce development that helps participants explore allied health careers, earn foundational credentials, strengthen employability skills, and take the next step toward college or living-wage employment.

Saturday Allied Health Program
A Saturday-only entry point combining allied health career exploration, workplace readiness, hands-on learning, and preparation for foundational credentials.

40-Week After-School Allied Health Program
A sustained school-year pathway combining career exploration, academic and employability support, credential preparation, and exposure to college-aligned healthcare careers.

Opportunity Youth Initiative
The initiative serves young adults ages 18–24 at CDC through year-round workforce development. A Neighborhood Legal Services of Michigan (NLSM) workforce development grant supports this community-based on-ramp to training, credentials, further education, and employment.

Current and Developing Pathways
