Transition Academy LLC is a Detroit-based youth development and mentoring organization that uses the discipline, teamwork, and perseverance learned through sports to motivate academic excellence and lifelong success. Founded in 2021, Transition Academy combines athletics, academics, and career-readiness to create pathways to higher education, employment, and community impact.

Our mission is to connect education, athletics, and workforce development to equip young people with the mindset and skills needed to compete and succeed in a constantly changing economy. Many alumni have gone on to earn college degrees, start careers, and become mentors themselves—showing the power of a comprehensive, community-based approach.
